Tactical Emergency Medical Support

This 8‑hour course is designed for law enforcement personnel, security professionals, and fire/rescue first responders who may be required to operate in dynamic or austere environments and want to improve their ability to recognize and respond to life‑threatening medical emergencies until additional medical support arrives.

The course focuses on emergency first aid and casualty care skills commonly used in tactical or austere settings, drawing from widely recognized emergency care principles to support effective decision‑making under stress.

Emphasis is placed on threat awareness, injury recognition, and basic life‑saving first aid interventions appropriate for responders operating in challenging environments.

Key topics include:

  • Threat‑based care concepts and situational awareness

  • Phases of care in dynamic environments

  • Hemorrhage control using tourniquets, wound packing, and pressure dressings

  • Recognition and support of airway and breathing emergencies

  • Basic patient assessment and injury prioritization

  • Evacuation considerations and coordination until EMS arrival

The course combines classroom instruction, hands‑on skill development, and scenario‑based training to build confidence and practical application of first aid skills in real‑world situations.

Suggested Equipment: Duty or Patrol style uniforms, training guns if available (Simunition or RedMan style, no ammo needed).
